CCL Vertical Post-Tensioning
Vertical post-tensioning is used to achieve lateral stability by vertically stabilising the core of a building, absorbing horizontal loads. By increasing the overall stiffness of a wall it can prove highly effective in seismic areas. Its increased rigidity also delivers enhanced crack resistance.
Because a proportion of the vertical reinforcement is replaced with high-strength steel strand, congestion within the wall is reduced.
Ideal for applications with variable wall geometry, vertical post-tensioning can reduce the number of supporting walls to create a more flexible layout.
