Project Drafter

Based in Jessup, MD, United States, the experienced Project Drafter will be able to produce post-tensioning shop drawings that meet company and industry standards. 

The Project Drafter is expected to:

  • Review project construction documents
  • Generate and modify post-tensioning shop drawings according to construction drawings
  • Understand post-tensioning requirements for each assigned project
  • Perform QC review for post-tensioning shop drawings
  • Follow and implement quality assurance procedures
  • Understand the most efficient and accurate methods to complete the assigned tasks and their priority
  • Manage filing of project documents, following company filing standards
  • Attend occasional meetings to discuss post-tensioning matters

Qualification Requirements:

  • Fully proficient in AutoCAD and associated add-on in-house programs
  • Basic Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge
  • Experience in structural engineering, rebar or post-tensioning shop drawings is preferred
  • 2-year associated college degree (preferred)
  • The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, subcontractors and clients
  • The ability to take direction and work well with others
  • The ability to visit construction sites and climb ladders
  • The ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • The ability to multi-task
