Bermondsey Spa is a £150 million regeneration programme on the south bank of the River Thames. Covering 50 acres, the project will be delivered over a period of seven to ten years. CCL was engaged to supply and supervise the installation and stressing of CCL’s new flat slab un-bonded 0.6" XU system to eight levels of the Bolanachi Building at the heart of Bermondsey Spa.
The £18 million Bolanachi Building covers 13,000 m2 and is built on the site of a former chocolate factory. The building is a medium-rise, dual-aspect residential structure with covered atrium, ‘floating’ courtyard and underground car park. With 139 homes, a dramatic external entrance, landscaped podium courtyard and commercial space on its frontage, 40 percent of the building has been earmarked for affordable rental housing.
Once completed, Bermondsey Spa will offer 2,000 new homes in total - 40 percent of which will be affordable accommodation - two new health centres, an NHS dental practice, a pharmacy, youth and play facilities, 2.5 hectares of newly landscaped open space, extra car sharing and bike parks, offices and shops.
Lancsville Construction selected CCL based on its unique package of advanced bespoke solutions and their previous experience of CCL’s dedicated, high-quality service.
